Ebenezer Lutheran Church (1908)

Organized as a congregation of the Augustana Lutheran Synod by Swedish immigrants in 1892, this sanctuary was completed in 1908. The congregation worshipped in storefronts and churches in the area before laying the cornerstone for this limestone building in 1904. During the peak of Swedish immigration in the 20th century, the membership grew to almost 2000 members.
